Statement of Faith
We believe the Hebrew Scriptures (Tanach)
and New Covenant (Brit HaDashah) is the whole Bible and is the divinely inspired
Word of God.
We believe in one God, who eternally exists as: God the Father,
Yeshua the Messiah and the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh).
We believe that Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel, He is
the Son of God, conceived by Ruach HaKodesh, born of the virgin Miriam, God
become flesh.
We believe that all men are separated from God through violation
of His laws and are in need of restoration. Our relationship with God can
only be restored through faith in a substitutionary blood sacrifice as commanded
by God and not by works of law or righteous acts.
We believe Yeshua fulfilled the commandment of God by becoming
the atoning sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. He died, was buried,
rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is coming again.
We believe God has sent Ruach HaKodesh to indwell the believer
for comfort, instruction and empowerment for Messiah's service.
We acknowledge that Brit HaDashah body of believers is composed
of both Jews and Gentiles who have received Yeshua the Messiah as the promised
Redeemer. The "middle wall of partition" has been broken down and we worship
the God of Israel together.
We believe that the land of Israel belongs to God and He gave it
to the Jewish people (the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob)
to live in and possess.
Mission Statement
Beth Shofar is a congregation of Jews
and Gentiles who believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah of Israel,
according to the Scriptures, who assemble for Worship, Instruction, Fellowship,
Evangelism and Accountability.
Purpose Statement
Beth Shofar exists to glorify God by
fulfilling the Great Commission; specifically, by growing a community of
Messianic believers who love and walk with God, care for each other, and share
the love of Yeshua both locally and globally, especially with the Jewish People.
Vision Statement
Our Vision is to be a
mature congregation where everyone is believing, everyone is growing and
everyone is serving making an impact in our community for Yeshua and His
Kingdom.
